Donald Trump to fly into Hagerstown

Details of rally being finalized

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - County officials have confirmed that Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump is expected to fly into the Hagerstown Regional Airport on Sunday some time between 1 to 6 p.m.

Discussions are also underway for a Trump event to be held at the airport's Rider Jet Center.

James Jenkins, public relations and affairs manager for Washington County, said county and airport officials are still waiting to hear more from the Trump campaign about the stop.

James Jenkins expects to know more about the stop by this afternoon.

Shortly after this article was posted, Jenkins sent out an email stating that Trump's campaign is still in the evaluation process of the event.

Trump's campaign website has been updated to include the event.

Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins said he was contacted by the campaign earlier this week to participate in the event, however, he has not heard back from the campaign since.

Chuck Jenkins said he was invited to appear on stage with Trump at the event.

Both Jenkins and Trump have expressed similar views on immigration policies.
