The season's final major celebrates its 95th anniversary with its third visit to Oak Hill Country Club August 5th through the 11th. Thousands of golf fans lined the fairways during the 1980 and 2003 PGA championships, and they are expected to yet again. In fact, you will be hard-pressed to get a ticket from Friday on. Tickets are still available for practice rounds Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is the first day of play. All eyes will be focused on Oak Hill as 156 of the best players in the world challenge the East Course to compete for the coveted Wanamaker Trophy.
"Folks want to come out here and watch the best people in the world compete at an amazing venue like Oak Hill Country Club, the time is now. We're inside of 30 days. You've got to buy your tickets. We do still have some availability on the practice rounds Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. And then the first day of competition, which is Thursday. We do still have some availability there. But again, if you want to be out here, you've got to buy your tickets," director Ryan Cannon said.
