Frederick Man Arrested For Attempted Arson Fire

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Police have arrested a local man for attempting to set a house on fire early Sunday morning.

Frederick Fire and Rescue responsed to the 300 block of Madison Street a little after midnight Sunday morning for a report of an attempted fire.

During the investigation, police say suspect 45-year-old, Harry Keller, attempted to set the house on fire using a portable heater attached to a propane cylinder. Police say this was following a dispute with other residents of the house.

No significant fire was actually started and the fire department quickly secured the area.

A short time later, Keller was arrested and taken into custody. He is being charged with attempted first degree arson and related charges.
