FREDERICK, Md. - A sneak peak for the public and local officials took place on Thursday at the new Habitat for Humanity ReStore location in Frederick.
Volunteers and family members also joined for the grand opening.
Everyone who attended had a chance to take a look at all the affordable donated items that the new store will have to offer.
The previous location, which was located on North Market Street, was an old car dealership. Officials said the new location is more comfortable to shop at, and it is now located on N. East Street. It will officially open this Saturday.
"It's important for people to be able to recycle things, so they can donate things here to the store so it doesn't go into the land fill. It's important to help the ReStore come shop and to donate, so we can build more houses here in Frederick County,” said Habitat for Humanity Frederick County, Executive Director, Ron Cramer.
Officials said the profits generated from the store stay within the county and go back to the local Habitat for Humanity organization.
