Frederick Keys celebrated "Halfway to Kick off Night" with Washington Redskins Deshazor Everett

Everett's pitch went right to the catcher's glove

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Keys were celebrating "Halfway to Kick off Night" for the National Football League and to honor that mark, Washington Redskins Safety Deshazor Everett made an appearance.

Everett was on hand meeting fans, signing autographs, and taking selfies with fans. Everett also had the honor to throw out the first pitch of the Keys games against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Frederick Keys also had a variety of football-themed games and entertainment throughout the night.

“For people to recognize who I am and come out and want to get signatures and meet me and shake my hand, it means a lot to me,” said Everett. “I am pretty confident that I am going to get it over home plate even if it is a little high. I just have to make sure I get it over.”

Everett’s pitch went right to the catcher's glove.
