SILVER SPRING, Md. - Seniors at Leisure World in silver spring are taking health to a new level with an expo.
Today was the 8th annual health and wellness expo hosted by the Bender JCC and the Jewish Residents of Leisure World. Guests received hearing tests, massages, and were treated to a concert.
The expo also included fun activities like Zumba and caricature drawings. Organizers say they included these aspects because wellness is not just about physical health.
"Wellness is a very broad word. It covers well being. It's head to toe and inside and outside kind of thing,"
said Frieda Enioch, director of the Coming of Age Program for the Bender JCC.
Guests also had the opportunity to enter a raffle to win an iPad Mini.
