Delegation Approves Government Using Debit Cards for Payment, Liquor Bills

- ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Frederick County Delegation voted to move several bills forward this Friday morning in Annapolis.

The delegation approved allowing the Frederick County Government to use debit cards to pay some employees.

Also moving forward are two bills the liquor board requested making it easier to get organizational licenses and allowing liquor licenses in country inns.

A bill to give pay raises to county orphans court judges didn't move forward, but the delegation will continue talking about that next week.

The approved bills now go to committees for a vote. If they pass in committee, they'll head to the Maryland Senate and Maryland House of Delegates.

The next meeting of the Frederick County Delegation is next Friday, January 31st.
