Local historical society remembers World War I with exhibit

Historical society hosts the World War One exhibit until the end of next month

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - In recognition of America’s entry into World War I, a local historical society is displaying a special exhibit.
 
The Washington County Historical Society in Hagerstown is showcasing a exhibit dedicated to the Great War. 
 
The exhibit includes medical documents of soldiers from Washington County, photographs and a medical uniform loaned by the National World War I Museum in Kansas City.
 
Historical society officials said holding the display is about remembering our history and teaching the younger generations about it.
 
The Washington County Historical Society will host the World War I exhibit until the end of next month.
