MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. -
Three men have been arrested in connection with the June 5 murders of Artem Ziberov and Shadi Adi Najjar; they appeared in Montgomery County District Court Monday afternoon.
Twenty-four-year-old Edgar Garcia-Gaona, 19-year-old Roger Garcia and 25-year-old Jose Ovilson Canales-Yanez are all being held on no bond for their alleged involvement in the murders of Ziberov and Najjar. All three suspects have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
In court Monday, attorneys said when Garcia-Gaona and Garcia were arrested, they had a suitcase full of clothes in their car.
"The arrests have been made. This case is not done. Our investigation is not over. What will be ultimately presented at the time these matters go to trial will be substantially more than what we have here today," said Montgomery County State's Attorney John McCarthy.
Police said during a search of one of the suspects' home, they found bullets that were the same ones found at the scene of the murder.
