Actor Sean Astin to Crown Daughter's Coronation

- WINCHESTER, Va. - When everyone hears the name, Sean Astin, they think of "Lord of the Rings," "Rudy," and "The Goonies."
WHAG had the opportunity to sit down with Astin one-on-one to discuss his feelings on the Apple Blossom Festival, especially with his daughter being this year's queen.
The actor previously served as Grand Marshal in 2004 for the festival. Astin says there was no way he could have missed his daughter's coronation Friday. Despite his busy schedule, he traveled to the land of pink and green for the magical moment.
Astin always promised himself he would maintain a work-balanced life with the philosophy of 'living life the right way'.
His face glowed as he talked about his daughter's dream to always become queen. As he gradually walked down the aisle of the Patsy Cline Theatre with his daughter, crowds stood up and the room was filled with applauds.
"My daughter's all grown up now, and I just saw her in her queen's dress and I don't know. Somebody's going to have to hold my hold and sit me down quietly. I'll just mutter and think to myself," says Astin.
Astin unfortunately will not be able to attend the Grand Feature Parade due to work obligations. He will be flying back to California to begin the promotion of his new movie, "Mom's Night Out." It is scheduled to be released over Mother's Day weekend.
