Armed Robbery at High's Dairy Store in Smithsburg

SMITHSBURG, Md. - Troopers with Maryland State Police responded to a report of an armed robbery Thursday morning in Smithsburg.

They said the suspect entered the High's Dairy Store on Jefferson Boulevard just after midnight, and demanded money from the clerk while showing a handgun.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 5'7" to 5'9" and about 120-135 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a red and black striped shirt, jeans and dark colored shoes, with a white bandanna around his head, and a red bandanna around his face.

They said he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
