Bartlett and Delaney Put Maryland's 6th District on Political Map

HAGERSTOWN, MD - U.S. Congressman Roscoe Bartett and his challenger, John Delaney, are putting Maryland's sixth district on the political map.

"Redistricting has changed the shape on composition perhaps of the sixth district. It has drawn a lot of interest," says Richard Willson, President of the League of Women Voters, Washington County chapter.

That's why the Washington County chapter of the League of Women Voters, Hagerstown Community College and WHAG are holding a candidate forum next month.

Willson says the two candidates will be challenged by voters.

"We depend on audience participation to generate the majority of the questions that will be given to the candidates that evening," says Willson.

Delaney says he is anxious to share some fresh ideas for the future.

"I'm eager to tell people about my jobs plan and answer their questions on the important issues facing this country," says John Delaney (D).

The forum will be held on October 17 at HCC's Kepler Theater. WHAG's own Pieter Bickford will moderate the forum. The Montgomery County Chapter of the League of Women Voters is also partnering.
