FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick man is facing multiple charges in connection to a string of child sex abuse offenses.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Ronald Dailey Jr. sexually abused an 11-year-old and 9-year-old girl repeatedly for months.

"The crimes occurred between February and August of this year," said Amanda Hatcher, Deputy First Class with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Officials with the sheriff's office say the incident was reported by the mother of the children through Child Protective Services. One of the girls then told the CPS worker of the abuse she had experienced. After further investigation and involvement from Frederick County authorities, Dailey turned himself in.

"The investigation was handled by the Frederick County Bureau of Investigations with the help of Child Protective Services," said Hatcher.

Court documents show that Dailey reportedly acknowledged his actions and attempted to seek counseling at a local church but continued to act inappropriately with the children.

Dailey faces ten charges including two counts of child sex abuse, three counts of second-degree rape, four counts of second-degree sex offense and one count of third-degree sex offense. As of Friday, Dailey was being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.

To protect the children's privacy, information on how Dailey knew the victims is being withheld.
