"I think nights like this again give people an opportunity to say, hey friends let's get together and come downtown and maybe sample a few restaurants. Just the whole vibe that the arts and entertainment districts provides for this community," said Kane.
The Mayor says it'll be a community effort to expand the city's arts and entertainment district.
"Well I think that it's going to be important that we continue to work with stakeholders and community members to attract folks to new, different and diverse events and to build on the ones that we have to make them better,' said Hagerstown Mayor David Gysberts.
An effort to expose the community to the arts that residents appreciate.
"Anything that expands people's horizons is a step in the right direction. You have to start somewhere and I think there are some really good solid foundation here," said Florence Grant,
A foundation in the arts that many hope flourishes as the city rediscovers downtown.
