Hagerstown, MD - Monday evening residents and Hagerstown City Officials gathered at the Washington County Public Library to open the dialogue about a proposal to bring a community garden to town.

The "green" initiative is aimed a educating the public and promoting living healthier lifestyles.

Back in December, Mayor David Gysberts and the city conducted a survey to gage the public's interest in the project.  The response was positive, with more than 200 residents completing the survey.

The location of the proposed garden is still up for discussion.
