JEFFERSON COUNTY, W.Va. - Firefighters from several counties rushed to the scene of a house fire Tuesday morning in Shepherdstown.

The call came in around 11:30 a.m. at a home along Duncan Road, right off Bakerton Road.

The blaze started in the living room, according to the Shepherdstown Fire Department. It took responders about ten minutes to put out the fire. They say the house is no longer livable, and the damage is estimated to be over $100,000.
