Washington Co. MD Fire Calls
Hagerstown, MD - Fire officials in Washington County were called to the Holiday Inn located near the Valley Mall around 7:30 Friday evening after an automatic fire alarm went off.

Emergency officials say after the alarm sounded, workers at the hotel called 911 with reports of seeing smoke inside the hotel.

Fire officials quickly determined there was a small fire inside one of the rooms.  It was extinguished, and officials say nobody was reported injured in the incident.  Crews remained on the scene as they checked the rest of the building to make sure the fire hadn't spread.
