Deputies Investigate Golden Corral Robbery

FREDERICK, Md. - Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office are investigating a robbery at a local business. 

It happened around 4:58 p.m. Monday afternoon at the Golden Corral on Spectrum Drive in Frederick. 

Deputies say a man entered the restaurant and approached an employee at the register, and asked her to make change. When the employee opened the register the man reached into the cash register and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled the scene on foot. 

No employees were hurt in the incident. 

Deputies searched the area, but the man was not located. The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'10", 150 lbs, with a beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black beanie with white striping around the bottom.
