Early Morning Car Accidents Keep Crews Busy in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating two car accidents that sent two people to area hospitals Thanksgiving morning. 

Both accidents happened just after 3 am.  

The first happened at I-81 northbound near exit 6A and the other at the Hendershot's Sporting Goods store off of National Pike. 

Both were single vehicle accidents and both people were taken to Mertius Medical Center with serious injuries.

We do not yet know the condition of either patient. 

Maryland State Police are handling both investigations.
