WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD -Tuesday morning fire crews returned to the scene of a blaze that first broke out on Monday night and continued to investigate a fire at a barn in Funkstown.

The blaze at 1713 Hoffmaster Road in Dargan started just after 7:00 p.m.

Dispatchers say the log cabin was destroyed in the fire.

One person, believed to be the homeowner, was taken to the hospital on Monday night for smoke inhalation.  No other injuries were reported.

Fire officials say flames at the scene rekindled Tuesday morning.

Around 9:30 p.m. Monday another fire broke out in a barn at 20113 Beaver Creek Road in Funkstown.

Crews said the fire was well-involved when they arrived on the scene.

911 dispatchers reported that equipment and fuel were both believed to be inside the barn when the fire started.

Neighbors tell NBC25 they heard what sounded like explosions when the blaze broke out.

No one was believed to be inside the barn.
