Food Taxes Eliminated for West Virginians

WEST VIRGINIA - Today marks a historic day for West Virginia which is hard to imagine coming off of the 150th birthday celebration for the Mountain State.

Beginning on Monday, West Virginians will no longer see a food tax on their grocery receipts which is one less financial burden for families and individuals.

Governor Tomblin says this is all part of the states' conservative financial approach and since food is a necessity; people in his state should not worry about putting it on their tables.
