Frederick Man Arrested Following Stabbing

- FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Police Department arrested a local man this weekend following a stabbing in the City. 

It happened on Sunday, August 17 around 11:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Key Parkway. 

Upon arrival, officers said several people left the area, and they were unable to located any of the victims or suspects. 

About half an hour later, a man called police stating he was stabbed. The victim suffered several puncture wounds to his rear torso area. He was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police said with the help of witnesses, the suspect was identified as Kevin Jose-Sanchez-Vera. He was placed under arrest without incident. Officers also found
the weapon, a small pocket knife. 

Sanchez-Vera was transported to Central Booking and is awaiting a bond hearing, police say.
