Police say Michael Angelo Jones is charged with beating and choking a woman in July 2011, after she had subpoenaed to testify against him in another criminal case.
Jones threatened if she testified, "He would kill her."
Officials say Jones faces multiple charges including attempted second-degree murder, first-degree burglary, first- and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
According to court records, Jones and the woman had been friends, and had a previous romantic relationship.
Jones was listed in "Frederick's Most Wanted" in July, when he was taken into custody.
The jury is expected to be called back sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday morning where the judge will issue the jury instructions. Some time after 10 a.m. Monday the prosecution and defense will meet for closing arguments.
If convicted of attempted second-degree murder, Jones could spend up to 30 years behind bars.
