Frederick Police Make a Drug Arrest

FREDERICK, Md. - Officers with the Frederick Police Department's Patrol Division responded to domestic disturbance on Saturday on 135 Willowdale Drive at Manor Apartments.

When officers arrived, a woman reluctantly opened the door to assure officers nothing was wrong. Officers searched the apartment for suspects or injured victims when they noticed blood on the floor inside the apartment. They were not able to find anyone inside.

However, officers did find a large amount of suspected marijuana with a large amount of money in several rolls bound by rubber bands. After getting assistance from the Department's Drug Enforcement Unit, more amounts of suspected marijuana and money was found.

Christina Renee Powell, of Frederick was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intention to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Powell lives at 100 Willowdale Drive.

A man had fled the scene before officers arrived but will be charged at a later date. His name is not yet being released at this time.
