Frederick Police Respond to Reported Stabbing

FREDERICK, Md. - Officers with Frederick Police Department responded to a reported stabbing Friday around 9:59 p.m. at the Liberty Gas Station on 1301 North East Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the clerk suffering from lacerations to his face, hand and arm. The clerk told police the two suspects approached him outside the store and tried to force him back inside the store. The clerk then tried to fight off one of the suspects and was then struck in the face with a machete.

The clerk was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.
