Frederick Police Searching for Hit and Run Driver

- FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - The Frederick City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident Monday night. 

The incident happened just before midnight in the 600 block of East Patrick Street. 

Frederick City Police say officers arrived to find one man injured inside his car. He was taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment, and is now listed in stable condition. 

Police found the suspect vehicle abandoned in the area of Hamilton Avenue and East Patrick Street, and describe it as a silver Dodge sedan. Police are looking for the driver and the passenger in the Dodge. 

The driver is described as a heavy set black female with long hair, and the passenger is described as a black male. 

"We're hoping that anybody in the area can provide us with additional information. We hope we're going to be able to come to closure in this because we have located the vehicle, and there are some leads of a possible person who had the vehicle," said Lt. Clark Pennington.
