FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick woman who's charged in the death of her three-month-old son, pleaded guilty Friday, according to the State's Attorney for Frederick County.

Elizabeth Oxnard Tramonte, 23, entered an Alford plea of guilty to 'first-degree child abuse resulting in death.'

As we've reported, on November 11, 2011, police responded to the 9400 block of Gas House Pike for an infant who was in cardiac arrest. Three-month-old Blake was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland ruled the death a homicide. The facts indicated ongoing physical child abuse, and acute findings consistent with asphyxia.

Sentencing for Tramonte has been postponed until May 15, 2014.
