Hagerstown Man Arrested in December Drug Bust

- HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Agents with the Washington County Narcotics Task Force arrested a Hagerstown man on Thursday in connection to a large drug bust along Hamilton Blvd. in December.

Investigators say Benjamin Joseph Beckette, 25, was taken into custody on Thursday, Jan. 30 in the area of Rt. 66 and Rt. 40 while in a car that was being driven by his wife, Breezy Jill Beckette, 23, of Hagerstown.

Members say Breezy was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and two counts of harboring a felon in Thursday's incident.

Benjamin was wanted on numerous CDS and gun violation charges as a result of a drug investigation handled by the Washington County Narcotics Task Force on Monday, December 30, 2013 that culminated with the execution of a search and seizure warrant on 807 Hamilton Blvd.

During the search of the house agents located a large amount of heroin and crystal meth, along with six firearms, two of which were reported stolen in Hagerstown. At the time of the search, Breezy was arrested but had since posted bond on her original charges. Benjamin was not at the house when the warrant was executed and had been on the run since.

Benjamin is currently being held at the Washington County Detention center on a $400,000 bond. Investigators say Breezy was was released on her personal recognizance.
