MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – A house fire broke out around 4 PM on New York Ave. in Martinsburg on Sunday.

Officials say the fire started in a station wagon behind a home, before spreading to the back of the house, where the most of the damage was sustained.

The Martinsburg Fire Department responded within minutes of receiving the call, and had the fire under control within 20 minutes.

Everyone inside of the home was able to get out, but there were family pets inside.
Thankfully, all of the animals, including birds, cats, and mice, are ok.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
