Jury Convicts Felon for Killing Conservation Officer

ADAMS COUNTY, PA - A jury found Christopher Johnson guilty of murdering wildlife conservation Officer David Grove.

Johnson, who was not allowed to have a gun, was stopped by Grove near Gettysburg on suspicion of deer poaching in 2010. He then shot Grove.

Grove grew up in Waynesboro. He was patrolling in Freedom township the night he was shot to death.

Johnson could face the death penalty.
