FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says they've increased police presence around a local high school after suspicious activity was reported.

Deputies say around 2:30 p.m. Thursday a man entered Linganore High School's main office and began exhibiting suspicious behavior and asking suspicious questions. They say he then exited the building, and left the premises.

School staff reported the incident to the sheriff's office Friday morning, which prompted an investigation.

The man is described as a white male, with short brown hair, and is about 6'0" tall and weights around 220 lbs. The sheriff's office says they've identified the man, and are working with allied agencies to locate and interview him.

The investigation is ongoing.
