Man Arrested for Prescription Pills

FREDERICK, Md.- The Frederick Police Department located a driver passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the parking lot of 1700 Kingfisher Drive around 7:30 Saturday morning.

Christopher Popp was displaying signs of being under the influence so officers asked him to complete a field sobriety test which he later failed.

During the car search officers located numerous prescription pills and a small amount of marijuana. Popp did not have a prescription for the pills.

He was charged with driving while impaired, possession of marijuana, possession of oxymorphone and possession with the intent to distribute oxymorphone.

Popp was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing
