Christopher Preston, 28, was arrested on Saturday by the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office at a residence on Ramblewood Drive.
Following an investigation assisted by personnel from the Animal Shelter, 12 dogs were discovered in a vacant home on McGill Drive
, in Bel Air on August 14th. Nine of those dogs were deceased.
Charges were filed on 8/22/14
resulting in an arrest warrant being issued for Preston
charging him with eight counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, five counts of animal cruelty, failure to provide, and five counts of animal cruelty.
Following an initial appearance in District Court, Preston
was ordered held on $8,500 and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center
