CLEAR BROOKVa. - Parents of Stonewall Elementary are on alert after school officials notified them of a school bus stop stalking incident.

On April 23, 2014 on the 1100 block of Millbrook Pike, Frederick County Sheriff's Deputies say a woman witnessed a man in a dark green vehicle watching school children while they were waiting for the bus.

"The gentleman inside the truck never said anything. [He] just pulled off the side of the road, and in [the witness’s] opinion, appeared to be watching the kids at the school bus stop,” said Captain Donald Lang, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say the witness called out to him from her front porch, asking what he was doing, and that’s when he drove away.

In October 2012, a similar incident was reported involving a similar vehicle but investigators say there is no evidence that link the two together.

"The deputies went out and checked the general area, and didn't find or see anything,” said Lang. “There haven't been any other instances or any other calls similar to this."

The man is believed to be about 40 to 50-years-old.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Solvers at (540)-665-8477.
