Man Robbed in Winchester Costco Parking Lot

- FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. - Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office are searching for two women in connection to an armed robbery reported in the parking lot of a local Costco.

The incident happened at 12:03 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 inside the parking lot of the Costco located at 251 Front Royal Pike.

The victim, identified as Larry Beamer Jr., of Stephens City, Va., told police shortly before noon he was driving northbound on Pleasant Valley Road and was stopped at the red light by the Taco Bell and rear exit of the Sheetz store when two women approached his vehicle, asking for a ride to Costco.

Beamer agreed to drive the two women to the store. When he pulled into the parking lot one of the women pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him, telling him to pull into a parking spot. As Beamer parked, the woman with the handgun demanded money, which he complied.

Beamer told deputies the two women got out of his vehicle and ran across the Costco parking lot, eventually heading northbound along Front Royal Pike. A perimeter around the area was secured and a K-9 with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene and attempted to track with negative results.

The two suspects are described as white females, mid to late 20's. Both were last seen wearing blue jean-style shorts. One had on a red shirt with short blonde hair and the other with a white shirt and shoulder length brunette hair. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the victim. At this time no suspects have been identified, police say.
