Martins, Giant Food Stores Voluntary Recall Crackers

WHAG NEWS – Giant Food Stores and Martins Food Markets issued a voluntary recall Friday for select Mary’s Gone Crackers. The company said it removed the items which may contain almond, which is not listed as an allergen on the ingredient label.

The company advises the products are safe to eat for those who do not have an almond allergy. A press release said no illness has been reported related to the crackers. Customers who have purchased these products can bring their receipt to any Martin’s or Giant store for a refund.

The company operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

The recall includes the following products:

Mary’s Gone Crackers - Gluten Free, 6.5 oz., UPC 89758000010 with a sell by date of APR 01 2015 and a lot number of CK3999.

Mary’s Gone Crazy Sea Salt Sticks & Twigs Pretzels, 7.5 oz., UPC 89758000051 with a sell by date of JAN 01 2015 and a lot number of PR1433.

Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their receipt to Giant/Martin's for a full refund. Those looking for additional information on the recall can call Customer Service at 1-888-814-4268.
