FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Rescue Mission will host Thanksgiving this year and is welcoming anyone looking for that traditional turkey meal.

The mission will serve all the trimmings, and is open from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Mission staff says they'll serve hundreds of people, making the group one big family for the holiday.

The mission will offer both fresh and fried turkey to those who might otherwise not be able to have a special holiday meal.

"We'll have a group of volunteers come in and it will be just like a home-cooked meal. They'll come through the lines, they'll sit down and have company. We'll be just like a big family," said Andy Anderson of the Frederick Rescue Mission. "It will be just like you know, a big family but instead of having four or five at the table, we're gonna have 30 or 40 at each table."

The mission served more than 100 meals on Saturday for lunch.
