FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a car accident that took the life of a young man and sent three others to the hospital with serious injuries Sunday night.

Investigators say 20-year-old Brent Kauffman of Waynesboro was killed in the crash on Tomstown Road in Quincy Township. Police say the driver, 19-year-old Cody Holtry of Mont Alto and two other passengers, Taylor Guilfoyle and 16-year-old William Socks are seriously injured after being ejected from the vehicle.

The three were flown to area hospitals. Kauffman was pronounced dead on scene.

Police say the car was traveling at a high speed and was going around a curve, when the driver lost control. They say the car struck a guardrail and a concrete culvert before coming to a stop on a driveway.
