Woman Struck by Vehicle Along Dual Highway, Listed in Critical Condition

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - A 27-year-old woman is currently listed in critical condition after she was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night, according to the Hagerstown City Police Department. 

Officers say the woman was struck along the 1700 block of the Dual Highway around 9:25 p.m., and was seriously injured.

The investigation revealed the woman was walking in the roadway and was hit by an 04' Nissan truck traveling in the eastbound lane. 

She was initially taken to Meritus Medical Center, and then flown to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland where she's listed in critical condition. 

Officers with the Hagerstown City Police Department are investigating the accident. Maryland State Police assisted in the accident investigation Wednesday night. 

This is at least the third person to be hit along the Dual Highway just this year.

Police say no charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is going.
