NEWSMAKER: WV Lawmakers Tackle Rx Drug Abuse

CHARLESTON, WV - According to recent reports, West Virginia has the highest rate of drug deaths and most were because of prescription drugs. On Thursday, lawmakers tackled the substance abuse issue at the capitol.

Delegate Don Purdue of Wayne County, who is also a practicing pharmacist and Chairman of the Committee on Health and Human Resources, joins WHAG to explain what types of legislation lawmakers are looking at to tackle the issue.
