FREDERICK, Md. - New information has been released in connection to the marijuana incident at a Frederick Sonic, where a local mother was served the drug with her order.

The female employee, who Frederick County deputies say was fired from her position following the incident, will not be facing any charges.

As we've reported, a Frederick mother discovered a small baggie of marijuana her bag of food she had ordered for her children. She immediately called management and police, who then took actions into their own hands.

Deputies say the employee will not be facing any charges due to the amount discovered in her possession.

"While we were on the scene she was terminated from her job at Sonic. Also, the amount of marijuana was very small, less than one gram, so based on those two factors it was decided that we will not be charging her," said Lt. Jason Null, Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say that the amount found in the Sonic order was less than one gram.
