One Person Arrested After Chase in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. – One person was arrested Thursday evening after a police chase in Frederick.

Police say the incident started with a traffic stop around 4:20 p.m. in the are of Madison and Center Street.

The officer called off the chase because he thought it was unsafe, however a short time later police say a passenger was dropped off near the Maryland School for the Deaf.

Officers say they recovered a handgun and drug paraphernalia in that area.

The vehicle was also later located and a suspect, Carl Otto, was taken into custody.
