Police say just after midnight they were called to the 800 block of Berryville Avenue when they saw a male pull his vehicle into the middle of the parking lot, rev his engine, and start doing doughnuts in the lot.
When officers attempted to pull the car over, it left the parking lot, traveling westbound on Berryville Avenue towards Pleasant Valley Road at a high rate of speed. Officers say the vehicle continued through the City running a red light, nearly causing a crash, and eventually came to a stop in the 100 block of North Euclid Avenue.
Officers made contact with the passenger in the car, Sierra Hart, 18, and the driver, Joshua Wayne Hoke, 25, both of Winchester. Police searched the car and found marijuana and a large sum of cash.
Hoke is charged with reckless driving, eluding police, driving under the influence, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, grand larceny, and driving with a revoked license.
Hart is charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21, and distribution of marijuana. Both were taken to the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center. Hoke was being held without bond.
