State Police in Chambersburg say the boy had two broken femurs, a skull fracture and a broken arm.
Police say the parents, Amy Taylor and Steven Burton, have not explained what happened to the child. According to police, there are no signs of forced entry into the home on Buchanan Trail West in Antrim Township where the baby lived. Officials were notified of the injuries by Child Services in Franklin County. The baby has since been placed in a different home.
"The suspicion is that they had something to do with it, and the fact that they are not cooperating throws up some red flags for us," says Michele Davis, Public Information Officer for Pennsylvania State Police.
Investigators say Amy Taylor and Steven Burton brought their son to a pediatrician last month with two broken femurs. Doctors found older injuries including a broken arm and a skull fracture that had gone untreated.
"We don't know that they had any sort of treatment for that child prior to this being discovered," says Davis. "The other injuries were a little bit older than the two. The two femur fractures were the most recent."
Davis says State Police are building their case.
"Today we don't have an arrest, but it doesn't mean that tomorrow we won't," says Davis.
WHAG went to the home Thursday morning and tried to speak with Taylor or Burton, but they refused to talk to us.
