WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - A Hagerstown man who was facing charges after he allegedly drugged and raped a woman earlier this year, has had two of his charges dropped against him.

According to Washington County District Court records, charges of second-degree rape and third-degree sex offense were dismissed against Robert Allen Masser, 28, in court on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

As you may recall, the charges stemmed from an incident earlier this year where a woman alleged she was assaulted and raped by Masser while half asleep.

The third charge of second-degree assault still stands. Masser is due in court on October 8, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. According to the Washington County Detention Center, Masser is still being held at the facility on second-degree assault, and violation of probation charges.
