On Monday, a big announcement was made on a new name for the alliance a new CEO of the organization. They are now known as Trivergent Health Alliance.
"The public won't see a day to day change in their health care delivery," said Joseph Ross, president and CEO of Meritus Medical Center.
However, patients are expected to see a change in health care costs and enhanced quality care.
"The beauty of Trivergent Alliance is while it brings the three organizations together to do regional planning and to identify ways to save money together; it continues to allow local control of health care," adds Ross.
Raymond Grahe has been named chief executive officer of Trivergent Health Alliance MSO also known as the Management Services Organization that is the first business of the alliance.
The MSO will enhance departments such as human resources, information technology, laboratory services, materials management, pharmacy services and revenue cycle.
Current employees who now work for those departments will work for the new Alliance MSO, a transition that will not affect patient care.
Ross added," Mr. Grahe has been serving the Western Maryland area for 35 years; he's very knowledgeable of health care, the Maryland System of Health care, he's familiar with his concept."
The alliance was originally formed to share in cost savings and efficiencies while working independently at the same time.
"What it really means if we're going to be able to come together and enjoy some economies of scale with our partners in Cumberland and Frederick," added Ross.
Grahe will start his new position in early July.
