According to Charlie Gischlar, the spokesperson for the Maryland State Highway Administration, there are no reports of damaged roadways in the state.
Despite no reports of damage, Gischlar says the office has dispatched many workers to monitor vulnerable areas.
Some of these areas include Route 550 in Frederick, MD near the Pennsylvania border. The highway closed earlier this year after a mudslide.
Gischlar says the agency is also monitoring Route 36 in Western Maryland.
At this point, Gischlar says all bridges in the state seem structurally safe, but officials are putting together a priority list with more details.
