FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a person who they said fled the scene of an accident in Quincy Township.

The incident happened between Monday evening, August 18 and early Tuesday morning, August 19. Troopers said a report came out of a stolen white 2004 Acura TL from 41 Philadelphia Avenue in Waynesboro.

State police said the suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a residence at 7650 Furnace Road in Quincy Township.

According to the homeowner, the male driver turned himself into state police early Tuesday morning. They said the man worked at a local Auto Body shop and that's where he acquired the vehicle.

The homeowner told WHAG the man drove up onto his lawn and struck the left back corner of the home, damaging the stone wall and corner of the house. The man allegedly tried to flee the scene in the vehicle, but got out and slept in the back bushes of the home overnight.

No word if any charges are pending against the male driver. Stay tuned.
