Strong Smell of Ammonia Shuts Road Down

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - A road was shut down Monday due to a strong smell of ammonia in Hagerstown.

According to dispatchers with Washington County Fire and Rescue, the 300 block of West Franklin Street was shut down to investigate the smell at Ocella Worldwide Solutions.

Dispatchers say calls came in shortly before 10:30 p.m. on the smell. Dispatchers said the roadway was reopened around 3 a.m. Monday.
