Thousands Without Power in Washington County, Md.

- WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Dispatchers with Washington County Fire and Rescue say about 51,000 people in the county are without power, as of 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

Dispatchers believe this could be due to a power surge. They say the main areas affected are Maugansville and the north end of Hagerstown.

Some traffic lights are out in Hagerstown. Dispatchers say the majority of them are in the area of West Franklin Street, West Washington Street, and North Burhans Boulevard.

Power is expected to be restored to most customers around 11:30 p.m.
